I. What personal data does Skillogies use
When you register as a Skillogies user, you provide us with your basic information and any details you wish to include in your resume, cover letter, or online portfolio, as well as data that can help Skillogies support you in job searching and career development. If you choose to use the paid features of the service, we may also ask for payment details.
The mandatory personal data required to create an account include your email address and password. These details are essential for creating a personal account and using the Skillogies service. Refusal to provide this information will prevent you from using the service. We recommend regularly updating your account information.
Like many other websites and applications, we also collect information sent by your browser during each visit to the Skillogies website and app. This data may include information such as your computer’s IP address, your location (city, country), browser type and version, the pages of Skillogies you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics (collectively referred to as „Personal Data”).
II. How Skillogies uses your personal data
Your personal data is used solely for purposes related to the functioning of Skillogies, in the following ways:
To ensure the security of your data, Skillogies may combine personal data collected through various channels: using our website/application, newsletter subscription, your name, email address, city, country, and information from third-party cookies (third-party data does not contain personal information but general information about the audience) regarding your interests, demographics, and preferences (e.g., age group, education, professional preferences). The purpose of this is to conduct general marketing research, customer analysis, segmentation, and statistics. Additionally, we may use this information to assess your interests and preferences to personalize your job search, career orientation, and use of the website/application, as well as to optimize the services received from Skillogies.
If you have subscribed to receive newsletters, Skillogies will also use your personal data to tailor the content of the newsletters to your interests and deliver personalized offers.
Skillogies may use external service providers to store, access, and process your personal data. If these external service providers process data outside the EU, the transfer of personal data will be conducted in accordance with the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. When using our services within the EU, we aim to minimize data transfers outside the EU, for example, by using cloud infrastructure located within the EU, though some processes, such as emails or payments, may still be conducted in line with the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you use Skillogies services outside the EU-USA or in accordance with the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, with your explicit and separate consent to the provisions of this privacy policy, we may temporarily store your data and provide Skillogies-related content and services via cloud servers located outside the EU/EEA or USA, to ensure better operation and experience of our products and services.
III. How long Skillogies stores your data
Your personal data will be stored on our servers for as long as necessary, but no longer than 6 years from the date of your last use of the service. This allows you to log back into your account, even after a longer period of inactivity, to update your job application documents when seeking new employment.
IV. Legal basis for processing personal data by Skillogies
Skillogies processes users’ personal data based on several key legal grounds:
Withdrawal of consent may affect Skillogies’ ability to fulfill the contract for service provision.
Skillogies’ legitimate interests include ensuring the security of the website, services, and applications, as well as gaining a better understanding of users’ requirements and satisfaction, ultimately improving their experiences while using our services and making purchases.
V. How Skillogies shares your personal data
Your personal data may be shared with our trusted external service providers who operate on our behalf to manage, maintain, and support our IT systems and infrastructure, our services, websites/applications, manage payment solutions, conduct statistical analysis, send newsletters, display Skillogies-related promotions, and provide career development advice through content created by Skillogies, as well as customer support and other essential services.
Transfer of your personal data to another legal entity may occur in the event of a transfer of our company or its parts as part of reorganization, asset sale, consolidation, merger, or similar operations. In such cases, we will contact you in advance via the email used to register your account on Skillogies.
Additionally, personal data may be disclosed in specific situations, such as when you have given consent for the disclosure of personal data or when it is necessary to achieve the purpose for which the data was collected. Disclosure may also occur when there are legitimate grounds to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact, or initiate legal proceedings against a person who may be causing harm, injury, or interference (intentionally or unintentionally) with our rights or property, users, or any other individuals who may suffer harm as a result, or when it is necessary to establish, investigate, or defend legal claims.
VI. Cookies, pixel tags, conversion tracking
Like many other websites and applications, Skillogies uses cookies to gather information. You can configure your browser to reject all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, some features of Skillogies may not be available to you.
Cookies used by Skillogies are intended to facilitate the use of browsing quality improvement features. They also serve to measure the performance of the website/application and how users interact with its content. Skillogies also uses them to store login data, which speeds up and simplifies access to the site/application.

They can also assist in tailoring internet ads to your interests, supporting the job search and career development process.
Skillogies may also use so-called „pixel tags,” „web beacons,” „clear GIFs,” or similar tools (collectively „pixel tags”) on certain pages of the website and in HTML format email messages. These tools compile aggregate statistics on website usage and response rates. A pixel tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1×1), that is typically invisible to visitors but may be associated with cookies on the hard drive of a site visitor. Pixel tags allow us to count users who have visited specific pages of the website, provide brand services, and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of promotional or advertising campaigns. For HTML-format email messages, pixel tags may inform the sender whether and when an email message has been opened.
To enhance Skillogies services, better understand your needs and preferences, and provide the best quality of service on our platform, we use cookies and third-party pixel tags that enable us to:
You can accept or reject cookies by adjusting your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may prevent you from accessing all interactive features of Skillogies. Modern web browsers allow you to control cookie storage settings through browser settings.
